Tis the season for a Tamalada! Macayo’s Mexican Food is getting into the holiday spirit with the announcement of its upcoming Tamalada classes, hosted at various locations around the valley beginning Saturday, Nov. 16 through Saturday, Dec. 21. A Tamalada is a traditional Mexican event during which groups of family members and friends gather to assemble tamales, typically for the Christmas season. This time-honored tamale-making party is recreated at Macayo’s in a fun and festive setting and includes all the ingredients guests need to make their own tamales to take home! Each class begins at 3 p.m. on the date and location listed below and includes a Top Shelf Margarita with Don Julio Blanco, a three-course lunch and the tamale class tutorial. There is a maximum of four guests per group and 40 guests per class to ensure an intimate environment in which guests can truly immerse themselves in the art of tamale making! Guests will then take home the tamales they learn to assemble in the class. The schedule is as follows: Saturday, Nov. 16 at Macayo’s Scottsdale Saturday, Nov. 23 at Macayo’s Mesa Dobson Saturday, Dec. 7 at Macayo’s Goodyear Saturday, Dec. 14 at Macayo’s Chandler Saturday, Dec. 21 at Macayo’s Scottsdale The cost is $60 per person, per class.
