Profile
It’s been two years since Sel Restaurant brought its sophisticated, inventive flavors to Old Town Scottsdale, and the eatery that redefined “fine dining” in the Phoenix area is inviting guests to come clink glasses in honor of the occasion.
A one-night-only second anniversary Champagne Dinner is slated for 6 pm on Sunday, June 10, and it will feature a five-course special menu from Sel Chef Branden Levine served alongside exclusive champagne offerings from Club Trésors, a special association of 28 artisan winemakers devoted to preserving the excellence of grower-produced champagne.
The menu features a broad lineup of fresh, seasonal flavors, from a first-course Hokkaido Scallop Crudo made with Scallop Consommé Dashi, Sea Urchin Panna Cotta, “Black Pearls” and Tempura Fiddlehead Fern to a decadent Tres Leches Foie Gras Ice Cream Sandwich for dessert. Champagne offerings include five high-end varieties, among them Champagne Special Club’s 2009 Gaston Chiquet and 2005 Henri Goutorbe.
