On Thursday, February 14 things are sure to heat up at The Market by Jennifer’s Restaurant + Bar with the announcement of a special Valentine’s Day menu. The dining experience features three courses with multiple dishes to choose from and an option for wine pairings.
The evening begins with an amuse bouche of a seared diver scallop with a citrus beurre blanc, orange, crispy shallots and micro greens and ends with a sweet treat courtesy of The Market featuring dark chocolate truffles and “bubbles.” Course options are as follows, with vegetarian selections available upon request:
First Course
- Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail— three jumbo poached shrimp served over crushed ice with chunky tomato, horseradish sauce, roasted lemon and dill aioli
- Frisee Salad— frisee endive and butter lettuce, lardons, poached egg, baguette croutons and red wine vinaigrette
- Wild Mushroom Risotto — a sautéed medley of wild mushrooms, mascarpone cheese and creamy arborio rice topped with diced tomatoes and chives
Second Course
- Arrabbiata —petit lobster tail, shrimp, mussels and little neck clams sautéed in a spicy tomato coulis served over spaghetti and finished with torn basil and parsley leaves
- Grilled Lamb Chops Provence — with herbs de Provence, heads of roasted garlic and port wine reduction sauce, served with Ramona Farms tepary bean ragout
- Chef-Carved Chateaubriand Beef Tenderloin — topped with a red wine reduction, served with wilted greens and a béarnaise sauce
- Seared Salmon Filet— with braised fennel and a red onion charred herb Israeli couscous
Dessert
- Flourless Chocolate Cake— with chocolate center, dusted with powdered sugar and served with coconut almond brittle and espresso mascarpone cream
- Crème Brulee with Berries —creamy custard and crackling bruleed sugar on top, garnished with fresh berries
