Profile
On Thursday, Sep. 26 at 6 p.m., Anhelo is pleased to host an intimate six-course dinner paired with wines from the Bordeaux region of France.
Bordeaux is one of the most well-known wine regions of the world, with more than 6,000 wineries, 53 appellations and approximately 272,000 acres of vineyards. It’s also one of the most confusing: What grapes make up the full-bodied red blends? How do you distinguish between a Left Bank and Right Bank varietal? What are the cru classifications of the region?
This experience will demystify Bordeaux wines. Anhelo’s Bordeaux expert — wine director and sommelier Ryan Ansell — will guide guests through an introduction of a minimum of five expertly chosen varietals from the Bordeaux region, sharing his vast knowledge of the area’s vineyards and châteaus. Each bottle, none of which are priced over $150, is masterfully paired with a delectable menu by Chef Ivan Jacobo.
Cost is $175 per person. Add a glass of Dom Perignon for an additional $75. Seating is limited, and tickets can be purchased via OpenTable. For more, visit anhelorestaurant.com.
