Profile
On Friday, Sep. 13 at 6 p.m., Anhelo is pleased to host an incredible six-course dinner featuring wines from Château Léoville Poyferré in Bordeaux’s prestigious Saint-Julien appellation.
Established in 1638 and classified as a Second Grand Cru Classé in 1855, Château Léoville Poyferré has been at the forefront of vineyard management for centuries, being one of the first châteaus to trellis its vines using pine stakes and rinsing its oak barrels with sulfur to protect the wine from spoiling — innovations that resulted in the production of high-quality vintages. The construction of a new, modern facility in 2014, only enhanced the vinification, with eight of the Château’s last vintages earning near-perfect ratings of 95 points or higher.
During this exclusive experience, guests will be guided through a tasting of a minimum of five varietals from Château Léoville Poyferré. The wines will be paired with a six-course menu of dishes from the Château, all expertly prepared by Chef Ivan Jacobo.
Cost is $275 per person. Add a glass of Dom Perignon for an additional $75. Seating is limited, and tickets can be purchased via OpenTable. For more, visit anhelorestaurant.com.
