My Wine Cellar in Ahwatukee staying connected…

During a time of uncertainty and discomfort, Shannon Rush, Owner of My Wine Cellar in Ahwatukee, is finding ways to stay in personal touch with the community. Like many of her colleagues in the restaurant business, Shannon is offering delivery service within a 5-mile radius and, pick up options including curb side and/or a non-contact system outside their door by request. Additionally, anyone playing golf at Ahwatukee Country Club can come pick up packaged beer, wine and snacks to go, as their patio is right against the 10th hole.

Some of the exquisite items available on the menu include charcuterie plates, bruschetta’s, cellar tapas, and favorites like green chile and pork mac n’ cheese. All their beautiful hand-picked wines can be purchased to go at a 20% off discount, or 30% off by the case. As a Sommelier in the valley, I appreciate the love Shannon puts into curating her wine list and, I vouch for her integrity and passionate nature. 

It is important to the folks at My Wine Cellar to keep some kind of face to face interaction therefore, they will be doing virtual live tastings beginning tonight, Saturday, March 21, 2020 at 5pm, and every Saturday at 5pm, until we can officially meet again in person.  Shannon will be pouring a few different wines and having special guests like, musicians, wine industry professionals, etc. Tonight’s featured guest will be Musician, Carrie Lynn Van Winkle, who will be playing live music in between. Guests can participate by commenting in the feed and all bottles tasted will be available for pick up or delivery.

While social distancing has limited our time together you can still enjoy a taste of the finer things in life and, feel confident it came from someone who cares about your experience. “Seeing the glow of the dining room as our last guest left at 8PM on Tuesday was definitely a heartbreaking scene as we were carried into the unknown.  A large part of what makes us who we are is the ability to deeply connect with our guests on a personal level!  For now, we are making the best of the situation by finding fun and creative ways to stay open!  This in turn, allows us to take care of our small family here at My Wine Cellar. We are so incredibly grateful to the community for all the support they have given and continue to give us.”
