Late Night Noshes at Delux Burger

The blue light of the Delux Burger sign greets guests from afar when all other businesses have closed their doors for the night. With killer normal and reverse happy hour, late hours and great food, Delux was filled to capacity on the Friday night that we entered the establishment.

Entering Delux, guests are greeted by the smell of juicy burgers and fries, but of the left side of the restaurant is a full-service sushi bar complete with anime on the TVs and traditional Japanese fare. We chose to sit on the Japanese side, but opted to see both menus, a common ask from guests.

Though the restaurant was busy, our server was quick and knowledgeable and the food came out quickly. We tried a variety of happy hour dishes, including seaweed salad, miso soup and the vegetarian roll. We also sampled the Spider roll and classic burger with Niman Ranch premium beef.

The rolls were expertly crafted, tight and filled to capacity. Each section of the Spider roll was so big that it took more than one bite to eat through it! The seaweed salad had the perfect amount of sesame oil and included cucumber to lighten the flavor. The burger was juicy and came with all the fixings. Instead of fries, all burgers come with pickled cucumbers on the side, but order the fries too—they’re delicious. The fries (either standard or sweet potato) are thin and crispy, and come with whimsical plating in a mini shopping cart.

Delux is a great late night eat with an inventive business model. The 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. hours make it a perfect spot all day long, and the food does not disappoint. Be sure to check this place out! Delux Burger is open from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. and the sushi bar is open weekdays from 4 p.m. to 12 a.m. and until 2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.
