I have to say I love the ‘create your own pizza‘ restaurant trend for a family-friendly fast food option. I’ve tried several around the valley and my top pick is Eklectic Pie which recently opened in Mesa – it’s DELICIOUS.  So many options to choose from for sauce, cheese, toppings and finishers. They even have gluten-free crusts and dairy-free cheese options.  Besides marinara, they offer 8 other sauces including BBQ, basil pesto, and olive oil.  The toppings – so many choices including some of my regular favorites and some more unique but oh so good options like bacon, roasted potatoes and pulled pork.  I LOVE bacon so anytime its an option, that’s a win. The finishers add an extra level of flavor – balsamic fig vinaigrette, ranch dressing, and guacamole are just a few of the choices. Not good with decisions?? You can choose an option from their Pizza Wall of Fame – Sedona, Cowboy BBQ, or Wine Country…already thinking about what I’ll order on my next visit.

Thirsty? Boylan’s Fountain sodas (all made with cane sugar), wine and beer. This mom is always happy when there are adult beverage options.

The decor is funky and eclectic. My son thought the bathroom signs were hilarious.

And the good news for those of you outside of Mesa, the newest location is now open in Chandler.
