Dapper & Stout Coffee, Cocktails and Eatery’s flagship restaurant, residing at 100 E. Camelback Rd., Ste. 150 in Uptown Plaza, is buzzing with new concepts — from a large gallery wall installation to new innovative menu offerings developed by nationally acclaimed Chef Aaron May, a regular on Food Network.
“We are constantly focused on providing our guests with a unique and vibrant experience that invites them to come in and relax while enjoying amazing food and beverages, visiting with friends and meeting new ones, while also being fulfilled in many ways when they walk out the door,” says Founder and Owner Aaron Lopo. “We believe this new menu with even more delicious offerings from one of the country’s most renowned chefs along with the gallery wall will offer a vibrant new element to the guest experience.”
The new menu will provide a revitalized and reimagined approach to Dapper & Stout’s already beloved sips and snacks. With the help of the innovative mind of Chef Aaron May, Dapper & Stout presents the “Small Bites and Paninis by AM” menu. In addition to Dapper & Stout’s creative coffee and cocktail concoctions, guests can expect the impeccable execution May has become known for in dishes such as:
Cherry, Tomato and Cucumber Salad
Southwestern Baby Gem Lettuce Wraps
Brioche, Brats and Mamma’s Mustard
Cinnamon Butter French Toast Panini
Three Cheeses and Bacon Panini
Turkey and Havarti Pretzel Panini
Chicken Meatball and Mozz Panini
Lopo also commissioned artist Amit Shimoni — creator of HIPSTORY, the result of his artistic creativity that depicts famous public figures and pop-culture icons painted as hipsters — to create some pieces to give the restaurant some new character (or characters, literally!). The Dapper & Stout gallery wall will include the following figures and icons painted through Shimoni’s innovative imagination:
Santa Claus
Frida Kahlo
Albert Einstein
Vincent Van Gogh
Muhammad Ali
Andy Warhol
The Dalai Lama
Martin Luther King
John F. Kennedy
Mahatma Gandhi
Abraham Lincoln
Rosa Parks
Marilyn Monroe
Lopo believes Shimoni’s ability to creatively reimagine historical icons as members of a celebrated society of influencers, giving them a revival and new relevance in today’s world, will be right at home at Dapper & Stout.
“Each member of the HIPSTORY society is like a visual Wikipedia page, giving people of all ages the opportunity to relate to an iconic figure in a new way,” says Shimoni, whose art concept blossomed out of last-minute inspiration for a final project when he was studying at Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Israel. Mixing his generation’s values with his home country’s history, HIPSTORY was born and Shimoni uses his story to remind people: “Sometimes late is better than never.”
Dapper & Stout’s menu collaboration with Chef May and artistic collaboration with Shimoni further exemplify the company’s dedication to bringing its customers the very best experience when they walk through the door. For more, visit dapperandstout.com.
