Kaley’s Cravings – Famous Favs

We asked one of our favorite local TV Anchors to give us her favorite cocktail, appie, salad, entree and dessert. Kaley O’Kelley of Good Morning Arizona was kind enough to share her favs with Az Food & Wine.
Here goes:
Cocktail: Grapefruit and Basil Cocktail/ Jade Bar Sanctuary Resort.
I’m not sure of the exact ingredients in this cocktail but if I had to guess I’d say grapefruit juice, simple syrup, muddled basil and vodka. (Now I want to attempt making one to see if I’m right! Ha ha!)
This drink is refreshing, unique and delicious…
Appetizer: BIG ARTICHOKE/ Federal Pizza/ Central Phoenix
This Artichoke is grilled to perfection with just a slight drizzle of truffle oil and a sprinkle of sea salt.
Salad: The STETSON Chopped/ Cowboy Ciao/Scottsdale
This chopped salad is beautiful! It’s bursting with color and flavor and it won’t leave you feeling hungry.
Entrée: Herb Marinated Lamb Chops/
Garage Wine & Tap/ Central Phoenix
Dessert: (I have a sweet tooth! I just can’t choose a favorite! Lol.. So here are a few)
Chocolate Dipped Bacon S’mores/ Becketts Table/Phoenix
One word: WHOA!
Think caramel, marshmallow, whipped peanut butter, and graham crackers. Delicious!
Push-Pops at Bink’s Midtown
These treats remind me of being a kid! Think ice cream layered with goodies stuffed into a plastic tube.
The unique choices that change from time to time are surprisingly good!
My favorite so far… Chocolate with butternut squash & tamarind.
(Oddly enough our kids love them too!)
Pink Diablo Pie/Urban Beans and Tertio Wine Bar
This is as Arizona and any dessert can get!
On top of a walnut crust this thing is stuffed with the most incredible tasting not-too-sweet Prickly Pear Cheesecake. On top? Delicious meringue, lime curd, mint, and agave habanero sauce. BOOM!
Oh… And~ Anything offered at Monarch Cafe/Scottsdale. (My favorite Special Occasion spot these days)
